Here is a Q & A with Rhianna & Karley, The Owners & Buyers at Envy

Describe your business in 10 words?

A fashion boutique with everything you desire to make others envious.

How long have you had your business in Fairy Meadow?

4 months

What’s hot in-store right now?

Races wear. You will be able to find everything you need. We have beautiful frocks coming in every week that are perfect for the races. We also have a range of unique fascinators made exclusively for Envy Boutique by Alice M, as well as amazing Billini heels and handbags. And of course a races outfit would not be complete without a stunning pair of Perv sunglasses!

Where was your interest in fashion spawned?

Karley: I was given a second-hand sewing machine when I was 12 years old. I would sit for hours sewing using any fabric I could find. I would flip through the pages of Harper’s Bazaar and try to make the amazing garments for myself – I still do actually.

Most Rock n Roll Moment ever?

Rhianna: I am way too much of a Nanna to have had any sort of rock n roll moments.

How do you take your coffee?

Karley: Skim flat white. Boring, but delicious.
Rhianna: No thanks

What was in your shop before you occupied it?

Envy Boutique has been established in Fairy Meadow for the past 4 years. We purchased the store in July of this year and gave it a massive re-vamp.

How many staff do you employ?

There are three of us girls at Envy Boutique, Rhianna, Karley and Jessie. We are always here so when you shop at Envy you will receive a personal shopping experience. The place “where everybody knows your name”.

Style Icons?

Karley: Audrey Hepburn’s style is timeless, feminine and classic. Agness Deyn and her indie chick rocker style.
Rhianna: At the moment, Drew Barrymore. She does casual so well and always looks amazing on the red carpet.

Have you been known to collect anything?

Karley: Do shoes count?? I’m not sure if you could classify it as a collection, but I have a lot of them and I could never bear to part with any them.
Rhianna: We are both a little cliché with this question, but I would have to say handbags….LOVE them!

Oldest memory of Fairy Meadow?

Karley: Playing netball
Rhianna: McDonalds after playing Netball

What makes Fairy Meadow so unique to Wollongong?

Fairy Meadow has a range of unique fashion boutiques as well as cute little cafes and eateries. You can also avoid the hustle n bustle and parking nightmares of the busy town centre.

Where do you see your business is 2020?

Rhianna: Hmmmmm…….Perhaps we should write a business plan Karley?
Karley: I see us as the ‘fave’ shop for women in the Illawarra region.
